Ryodgie Barnatia - Web / UI Designer & Front-End Developer

I design and build stuff for the web. Mostly Vue, React and TypeScript, though Astro has been my favorite lately, and I’ve been experimenting with motion. Backend’s been my latest rabbit hole — APIs, data, the plumbing nobody sees. Front-end is still my home turf, but I want to understand the rest of the stack. I keep picking stuff up as I go.

When I’m not on client work I’m usually poking at AI tools or open source, jotting half-baked ideas in my notes until one of them turns into something. Sometimes I’ll just open Figma and set myself a random design challenge. A couple of those notes are actually projects now — currently maintaining the Filipino Food API and building Mockymax — a free device mockup tool for web design showcases.

Long story on how I got here: I spent a decade in customer experience across major American publications — Tribune Publishing, Los Angeles Times, and a few others — until the pivot. Front-end at MC2, then visual design for AI training models at Wirestock. Different worlds, same instinct — caring about how things work for real people.
